The Story of Bruce Lee
Bruce Lee , the greatest Kungfu master, was from Shunde district of Foshan. He started to practise Kungfu when he was young. Bruce Lee carved his name in Hollywood in 1970s as a famous international film star of Chinese kungfu (martial arts). He is famous both at home and abroad.
Bruce Lee finished his primary school education and secondary school education in Hong Kong, and then he went to the United States and enrolled into Seattle Washington University in Philosophy, where he working while studying.
In the university, Bruce Lee organized the “Chinese Kungfu Team” that consisted of more than 10 students, they always performed in the campus. After graduation, he rented a parking lot in Seattle for running Chinese martial arts, where he painstakingly taught his students and practiced himself. During this time, he had a great progress in his Wushu skills, especially in his leg skills.
In 1971, he was invited by Hong Kong Golden Harvest Production Company to star an kung fu film , and the film became very popular for his wonderful Kungfu shows. Suddenly, he became a famous Kungfu film star that famous both at home and abroad. The press in USA praised Bruce Lee as “King of Kungfu”, and the Japanese called him as “Saint of Wushu”.
In his films, he is not only carried forward the Chinese Kungfu, but also the national spirit. Unfortunately, On July 20, 1973, Bruce Lee abruptly died in Hong Kong, when he was only 33 years old. He left 7 Wushu note books and 4 works, including“Jiequan Art”, “Kungfu Record”, “Two Jointed Pike Art” and “Research of Jiequan Art”.
The “Jiequan Art” integrated the strong points of Japanese karate, Thailand Thai Boxing, and South Korean Taekwondo, which with great practical value and published in several languages.
