    Liaoning's culture is part of a culture of Northeast China that is quite homogeneous across all of the northeastern China.

Liaoning cuisine is derived from the native cooking styles of the Liaoning region in China, and it is the most famous Northeastern Chinese cuisine. Liaoning cuisine has gained increased popularity in China recently and its chefs have continuously won awards in the national culinary competitions in China, and the cuisine is heavily influenced by Beijing cuisine. The main characteristics of Liaoning cuisine is that it is colorful, tastes are strong, food is soft, and one dish has many flavors/tastes, however, the sweet taste and the salty taste are very distinct.

Ma Jia steamed dumpling (with the dough gathered at the top) is the Hui People's shack of specialty of Shenyang area, which has a history of more than 200 years. Its distinctive qualities lie in the fact that the Steamed dumpling is made of dough prepared with boiling water, with soft tendon and rice fleur as subsidiary fleur, soft but not sticky. The stuff is made of beef filling with special condiments. It tastes delicious and fragrant. Its appearance looks like peony buds just ready to burst, bringing the water to one's mouth.
