    The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, bordering to the north with both the Republic of Mongolia and Russia, is the widest province in China (by its latitude). It is the third largest Chinese province (over 1.1 million square kilometers or 424,736 square miles) but not very populated.

Inner Mongol is very wide and the latitude is high. The area of plateau is wide and it is very far away from the ocean.

The main climate is temperate continental monsoon climate.

 

The best tourist seasons in Inner Mongolia are July and August.  In other months, it is cool and the temperature difference is obvious.

 

In winter, it is cold and dry. Due to the Siberian air masses that move southward across the Mongolian Plateau.

 

The best time to visit Inner Mongolia
July and August.  Remember to take long sleeves coats with you when you travel in Inner Mongolia.
