Kaili Museum
Kaili Museum is located in Downtown Kailim, it is actually a collection of Ethnic Minorities culture in Guizhou, where you can have a background knowledge of all minority native culture in this area.
Before you visit the mueum, recommend you to read some books of culture of Miao and Dong ehtnic, it might help you a lot. You tour guide might not be good enough to explain them in English.
The museum displays some buildings, food and drink, costumes, festivals, production, recreation, etiquette, morals and beliefs etc. created by Miao People. It provides a broad, comprehensive introduction to the history of the various ethnic minorities that make up the multi-cultural patchwork that is the southeastern part of present-day Guizhou Province.
The Kaili museum will have 12 exhibition halls when it is completed. Currently there are only 4 exhibition halls open to the public, of which the Minority Customs Hall and the Dragon Boat Hall are the most noteworthy.
At night, standing on the top of mountain, a brid-eye view of Xijiang is so magnificent. Every family is lighting up, smell of meals and children's cheering sound make us homesick.
