Xingyi is a city of Guizhou province, located in the south of China. With some of the finest weather in Guizhou and has many worthwhile sights, it is an interesting place to wander around. The attractions such as the Minorities Museum and some nearby karst scenery, etc. appeal thousands of visitors every year.
Xingyi is 6 hours driving form Guiyang, most of the travelers go from here to Stone Forest in Yunnan. Xingyi is among the most representative examples of the evolution of Karst topography in China.

Maling River Gorge
The main attraction in the area is the 15 km-long Maling River Gorge. With stunning scenery, many travelers find out that the Maling Gorge is more interesting than Huangguoshu Waterfalls.
Maling River, also called Qingshui River or Mabai River , flowes through Malin district of Xingyi city. Hence the name 'Maling'. Many tributaries along both banks of the river form more than 100 waterfalls falling down to the deep valleys, creating the spectacular limestone waterfall cluster. some of the waterfalls are over one hunred meters and with splendid sights.
The 47km drifting region open to tourists inside the Canyon has a natural drop of over 200m, so it is thrilling to drift along the river. You can also raft on the river at several points, don't expect white-water rapids, this is a slow descent.
To reach the Marling River Gorge from Xingyi, you can catch a Xingren or Dingxiao bound bus, and you can take the taxis which will take you the 6 km for about RMB 20.
Wanfenglin - Forest of Ten Thousand Peaks
Wanfenglin, or Forest of Ten Thousand Peaks in Xingyi City takes up an area of 2,000 square kilometers, about two thirds the size of Xingyi City. It is ranked by the China Geography Magazine as one of the six most beautiful peak forests in China.
