Hi
Nancy,
Thank you too for all your organization and help with our wonderful holiday in China. We had a wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed everywhere we went.
Chongquing – Our guide and driver met us at the airport (plane late) and took us to a restaurant for dinner. They then delivered us to the cruise and our guide organized porters and paid for them, to take our luggage onto the ship. Again she had good English and like all our guides was very pleasant.
Yangtze Cruise – the ship was not full. Our cabin was very comfortable. The food on the ship was excellent. My only comment would be that it seemed this particular ship is more for Chinese tourists than English speaking tourists. The tours off the ship – the guides were very pleasant but they had a mixed English and Chinese group and it seems that the Chinese learnt more than we did. It is a pity that you miss so much of the Gorges because you are asleep.
Yichang- Our guide was great. She had checked the arrival of the ship and found (much to our disappointment) that the ship was not going to dock at Yichang and that we would be bussed there. We arrived an hour early. After a delicious lunch she and the driver took us to see some other interest sights and places, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
