Upon arrival at Lijiang airport, pickup by our English speaking tour guide and drive to hotel. Later taking city tours to the Ancient Lijiang City, also called Dayan ancient town and Mu Prince Palace. |
Mu Prince Palace | Mu Prince Palace combines the styles of Naxi, Bai, Tibetan and Han architecture. The exquisite carves and paintings on the doors and windows and meticulously designed structures all indicate their status in Lijiang. | Danyan Town | Lijiang Old Town, or Dayan Town has a history of over 800 years. Baisha Murals | Lijiang murals are mostly from the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Among the 55 existing murals, the largest one is at the Dabaoji Hall of Baisha. Most Lijiang murals depict religious stories, and one characteristic is to combine several legends into one picture. Full day trip to Upper Tiger Leaping Gorge, First Bend on the Yangtze River, and Iron Chain Bridge in the Stone Drum town. Drive back to Lijiang. |
Shigu Town | The Jinsha River does a U-turn at Shigu Town and flows northward, Then it changes the direction and goes to the northeast. | Tiger Leaping Gorge | The Tiger Leaping Gorge is one of the world's four great gorges - The Tiger Leaping Gorge is 17 kilometers long with a drop of 213 meters. The gorge is divided into three sections: Upper, Middle and Lower Hutiao. At the narrowest spot the river is only 30 meters wide. |
