Day by Day Itinierary
Day 16 Shigatse, Zhangmu ( B,L ) |
After breakfast, transferred to the border town Zhangmu. Leisure on your own at the rest of the day. |
Zhangmu Town | Zhangmu town is an important trading port as well as a border town between China and Nepal. Many visitors enter or leave Tibet through this small but busy town. Zhangmu is going to undergo major construction to meet the demands of the booming tourism and border trade. |

[ Optional ] Nepal / China border: Nepal and China have a common border of 1414.88 kilometer presently. It runs west to east from Zanskar range passing through various ranges of Mountains. Nepal-China boundary is as old as the history of the two countries, more than 90 percent of the frontiers run through high altitudes with rocks and snow, glaciers and ice fields which are entirely uninhabited. Both countries have respected and continue to respect the existing traditional and customary boundary line and have lived in amity. |

Day 17 Kathmandu ( B,L ) |
Drive to the Friendship Bridge to Kathmandu of Nepal, you will cross by foot to the Nepal side. After the formalities, you will enter Nepal. Your Kathmandu guide will meet you at the border, then dirve to Kathmandu. After arrival in Kathmandu, pay a visit to Kathmandu Durbatr Square, which consists of a huge Royal Square imposing a tremendous variety of temples dedicated to different Hindu gods and goddess. |
Durbar Square | Durbar Square is the plaza opposite the old royal palace in Kathmandu, it is surrounded by spectacular temples and vividly showcases the skills of the Newari artists and craftsmen over several centuries. |

[ Optional ] Kathmandu: Kathmandu’s rich history is nearly 2000 years old. It stands at an elevation of approximately 1,400 metres (4,600 ft) in the bowl-shaped valley in central Nepal surrounded by four major mountains. It is inhabited by 949,486 (2009) people. |

Full day highlight tour visit to Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple), Boudha Nath Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple, Patan City. |
Swayambhunath Stupa | Swayambhunath, is among the oldest religious sites in Nepal. The stupa consists of a dome at the base.
