Tips for hiking in Mt. Huangshan
Better to deposit your large-size lugguage at the hotel that locates downtown. Pick the must-have lugguage (especially for hiking) and bring it with you to the Mt. Huangshan as hiking up and down the mountain is a little bit strenuous.
Recommended outfits: comfortable shoes or boots, water, snacks, sunscreen, sun-glasses, first aid kit, lip balm, cap, long pants with zip-off legs in summer rather than shorts.
Safety always comes first. Make sure that stop stepping when you're taking pictures or sightseeing.
Summer in Mt. Huangshan is quite rainy. Better cloth your camera with some waterproof cover. In winter days, bring more standby camera batteries as the low temperature speeds up consumption of the power.
The best time to appreciate the sunrise of Mt. Huangshan: spring 5:30am-6:00am, summer 4:40am-5:10am, autumn 4:50am-6:20am, winter 5:30am-6:00am.
