Though the city does not have any airports, the best way of reaching Shigatse is via the Gonggar Airport in Lhasa which is approximately 400 kilometers away. Tourists can then avail shuttle buses and after reaching the city of Shigatse, one can access private cars and taxis to reach the Manasarovar Hotel in Shigatse (Xigaze).
