Highlights
You will stay 1 night in the majestic world heritage architecture - Tulou Hakka Residential Earthen House. Walk around the Chuxi village, you will experience the legendary Hakka culture and immerse the authentic rural life.
In these 2 day's tour, we will bring you to a local Hakka family, you can enjoy having meals with them, drink mellow Hakka rice wine and taste Hakka tea, learn Hakka language with local people and live in the distinctive Hakka Earthen residential house.
We will also arrange a charity activity during a visit to the mountainous village school, we suggest you to bring some clothes for children, books, pens, pencils for school or what you know they will need for they daily school life. All the kids, teachers and villagers will appreciate you spending time teaching some English for them, telling stories happening in big cities or in the outside world, sharing their dreams
Pickup time and back to hotel time
Every Saturday Morning: At 08h00 from your hotel lobby, the time back to the hotel is 18h00 usually.
Hour-by-hour itinerary
DAY 1 (Saturday)
7:00-8:00 Pick up time.
08:00 Leave Xiamen for Fujian Tulou in Yongding County, Longyan City ( 2.5-3 hours ’s drive).
10:00 Have a stop on the way to see a tea field in Zhangzhou.
11:00 Arrive at Gaobei Village, Visit Chengqilou, the largest Tulou in this area.
12:30 Arrive in Chuxi Village and Check in the Hakka Family Hotel.
13:00 Have a real home-made lunch.
14:00 Visit the Chuxi Tulou Cluster (Jiqinglou, Shengqinlou and Yuqinglou)
16:00 Climb the top of the nearby mountain and have a bird’s view of Chuxi village.
The rest time will be free for you to stroll in the quiet village.

DAY 2 (Sunday)
08:00 Have breakfast in the family restaurant, the house owner will prepare milk, bread and coffee.
08:30 Have a 2-hour trekking along in the back part of Chuxi village and terraced fields, visit local family.
10:30 Visit a village school, attend charity activity and exchange gifts with the kids for 2 hours.
12:30 Lunch.
14:00 Transfer back to Xiamen, arrive at around 17:00-18:00 to your own hotel.

* This is a join-in-group tour, we sell a seat on our coach to you.
* Our English speaking tour guide picks up passengers from different hotels every Saturday.
* Quotaion is for the hotels in Xiamen center area only..
* Children from 2-11 years old can have 20% discount, above 12 same rate as adult. Please ask our trip advisor for more details.
* In public holidays as Chinese New Year, Easter, Labor Day (May 1-7), National Day (Oct 1-7), limited seats for group tours. Highly recommend our private tours.
* The benefits of Group tours are: less expensive than private tours, especially when you are travelling alone.
* Something you might not like: Your coach pickups passengers from hotel to hotel, limited visiting time on some attractions.
