Tour Itinerary:
① Picking up travelers from hotel on departure time and then drive to the Lama Temple, a famous lamasery located in the northeastern part of the old city of Beijing. It used to be the living quarter for Qing Emperor Yongzheng when he was a prince. A huge standing Buddha (26 metres/86 feet high, carved out of one piece of Sandalwood tree) will be impress you a lot.
② Driving (50 minutes) to Summer Palace, the best-preserved imperial garden in the world that boasts centralized architectural masterpieces as well as scenic beauties. Long corridor & marble boat in Summer Palace will impress you a lot. Visit it for 1 hour and 20 minutes.
③ Before having lunch, travelers have 45 minutes to enjoy the Chinese pearl factory. Since ancient times, the pearl has been a symbol of unblemished perfection. It is the oldest known gem, and for centuries it was considered the most valuable.
④ Have traditional Chinese lunch at restaurant near Summer Palace.
⑤ Drive to Beijing Zoo, where you can meet VIP, very important panda! It looks like a bear but it is not a bear. It looks like a cat, but it is not a cat. Anatomically, it is more like a raccoon.
⑥ At last, driving the travelers back to their hotel.
Highlights today
Lama Temple - northeast of downtown Beijing, is the most famous Tibetan Buddhist temple outside of Tibet and was visited by past Dalai and Panchen Lamas (as well as one current-day Chinese-appointed Panchen Lama).
The Summer Palace - It is in northwest suburban Beijing is the largest and most complete imperial garden existing in China. It was first built in the 12th century as an imperial palace. Renovation and extension in the following several hundred years till the end of the 19th century.
Panda House - The busiest area of the Beijing Zoo is the famous Panda House, home to giant and lesser pandas of China. Lakes and gardens abound in the zoo complex which is a weekend destination for families. During the week for school groups make the zoo a very busy place. If you have never seen a Panda don't miss the opportunity.
