stewart - China trip advisorAs a native of Guangxi, Stewart's early life was colorful. He was the most naughty boy in his family, quit school earlier in the period of Cultural Revolution in 1970's, when Chairman Mao asked every young Chinese people to 'Learn from Countrymen'.  He once worked as a farmer in a remote village in Southern China, he was his village's designated storyteller. In 1980's, Stewart was one of the first group of students to re-enter a university where he studied English - and was the oldest student in his class.

An avid and passionate traveler, his experiences in the countryside have exposed him to the different ways of life of the local people, and hence, his ability to design some of Guangxi's best off the beaten path programs.  Stewart likes trekking, has traveled extensively and is an experienced, enthusiastic and 'Elder brother style' tour leader.   Want to trek few days on Mount Everest, ask for Stewart!

He is best known in photography circles for his ability to identify Guangxi scenic spots for ideal photo opportunities, and is widely considered by most European photography associations to be the go-to guide for the area.  Stewart was the professional camera man who took most pictures which you have seen in our pages, the teacher who will host your Chinese cooking lessons, tea ceremony, Chinese Calligraphy class, Chinese Kungfu class...

Every year, he took some Christan sisters and brothers to the neibouring villages near Guilin, Longsheng and Sanjiang, do what ever we can to help those kids to continue their studies to school.

He is the captain of our sweep team, for our cycling trip in China, the most reliable brother and sometimes the only available support in emergency situation.  We all love him!
